In psychology, vulnerability can have multiple definitions:
Emotional vulnerability: A cognitive belief or experience that can make someone more susceptible to hurt feelings in response to everyday events. It can also refer to a state of fragility or emotional hurt.
Psychological vulnerability: A pattern of cognitive beliefs that can make someone more fragile in stressful environments. For example, someone with psychological vulnerability might depend on external sources of affirmation or achievement to feel good about themselves. When faced with stressful events, they might have a negative perception of themselves and the world around them.
Physical vulnerability: A state of risk, uncertainty, and emotional exposure
