About
Amanda Watercolor Golightly (Watercolor), is a dedicated Licensed Associate Therapist with a passion for integrating art into her healing practices. With a Master’s in Counseling from Southwestern College, a consciousness-centered graduate school in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and a Bachelor’s in Theatre Arts from the University of Arizona, she offers a therapeutic approach that is unique and eclectic.
Watercolor believes in the transformative power of therapy. She offers a tailored approach to each individual client. Her methods include talk therapy, eco psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, art they methods, sand-tray, Internal Family Systems, and Ketamine Assisted therapy.
During her undergraduate years, she worked as a high school theatre, speech, EFL and ESL teacher working with diverse populations across Arizona, and then in South Korea. During her graduate studies she provided counseling services at the Tierra Nueva counseling center (Santa Fe, NM), worked as a night-time supervisor at Casa Familia Women’s and Family Shelter (Santa Fe, NM), and completed an internship in Equine Assisted Therapy with Listening Horse Therapeutic Riding (Santa Fe, NM).
Her wealth of life experiences enriches her practice with a unique perspective on healing and connection. After beginning her private practice, she has continued her education and expanded her practice to include Ketamine Assisted Therapy, receiving her training from the Transpersonal Research Institute of Psychotherapeutic Psychedelics (Tucson, AZ) and further diversifying her therapeutic toolkit.
Originally from Marana/Tucson, Arizona, Watercolor's vibrant personality extends beyond her professional life. She is a former high school theatre teacher, a fire dancer, and has volunteered as ranger for the Burning Man project for multiple years. Watercolor loves camping; is an avid lover of animals and a world traveler. She also is a board game enthusiast, a dedicated audiobook reader, and a choir member at her Unitarian Universalist church.
With a blend of creativity, compassion, and commitment, Amanda Watercolor Golightly strives to create a safe and enriching space for her clients, guiding them on their personal journeys towards healing and self-discovery.
